I was given Pisces since that’s my sign, and I chose Lupin since we actually share the exact same birthday :’) Pisces is a water sign that has to do a lot with losing yourself in daydreams/inner reflection, so I wanted to combine the circling fish motif of Pisces with the full moon significant to Lupin, making them work together to become a Pensieve. The moon for Lupin is tied so intricately with his best and worst memories, and like a true Pisces he’s lost in these memories throughout his life, plagued by the guilt they bring while also clinging to them as a means of reaffirming his sense of humanity.
The circling fish also mirror the cyclical nature of the moon, shown in the phases. He’s in the center of all these cycles forever.
Here’s a bonus Lupin eating fish n chips tho to lighten the mood
Cecil. She/her. During the day I sit in libraries staring at books. During the night I write queer fanfiction with a historical slant.
Some not-so-random facts: Gay space lizards are the best lizards. Star Trek is my life. I have too many DS9 ships. Classic Who and the Eighth Doctor Adventures make me grin stupidly. Kelas Parmak is the best. I will defend historically accurate portrayals of Alan Turing to the last drop of blood.
