Every so often, I come across a painting that simultaneously steals my breath away and fills me with outrage that I have never seen it before.
This is absolutely one of those paintings.

I’ve read a pretty good meta about Sirius and the Potters and it kinda inspired me. This pic is an illustration of this part:I imagine Sirius having long talks with Mr. Potter about equality, the same talks James had his entire life, and Sirius for the first time seriously laying his family beliefs to serious scrutiny. James had told him what he believed was wrong, sure, but Mr. Potter explained why and gave him all the actual reasons why. He laid those foundations for a better way of thinking.I really like how it turned out, this watercolourish sepia looks great, I’m proud. I also added few details, I really like the idea of them smoking together. And poor Mr. Potter couldn’t avoid the vest, my bad. (Though if Mr. Potter was the original vest wearing person, it’s possible Sirius started to wear vests himself as a form of flattery towards him. But I guess I just try to find excuses for my vest-mania.)CAN YOU KEEP MAKING MY DREAMS COME TRUE
AMAZING

mwpp sharing clothes will always be one of my favorite things, especially when these two swap sweaters or coats during the first war, when they have missions and are gone for weeks — sometimes months at a time. familiarity is key. it’s more than just a physical warmth, it’s comfort and love and home.
