SO I’ve been reading Interference (25th EDA book) and I also recently went to a lecture by Mark Andrews (director of Brave) about visual storytelling and storyboarding.

and this moment really sticks in my mind from that book so I though I’d try and illustrate it and then found out that I don’t have the skills or the patience to do that so here’s what I ended up with.

theese are usefull practice with the tablet since im not very good at using it

I just finished reading the first book of Interference.  The bits with the Doctor in the cell was one of the scariest and more interesting bits, and this is an excellent illustration if it. (The circular Gallifreyan and the equations and everything!)

It’s not a particularly exciting scene (although it does have nice dialogue), but I thought it’d be fun to try something set at night (I was wrong), and I’ve been wanting to draw Sabbath for a long time.

I’m not exactly happy with this, but I’m posting it anyway.

But this is wonderful! It really catches something of the bleak, Victorian atmosphere in  Camera Obscura, and the positions of the characters, with Sabbath following the Doctor a few steps behind, feels a lot like their relationship in that book. And your Sabbath is excellent!

I’m in awe of the artistic skill behind this. Also, I really like the setting. The hospital looks so incredibly bleak, with those greens, and the implication that the ward just goes on. And Eight in the white coat! It’s such a wonderful experience that someone illustrates one’s fic, and I feel really honoured. I really like the fact that the moment anachrophobian chose to illustrate is one which the reader doesn’t actually see, because at that point the narration is all inside the Doctor’s head, so it shows the event from an entirely different angle.

Fanart for Kate Orman’s Doctor Who book, The Year of Intelligent Tigers. Because it includes four of my favourite things. The Eighth Doctor, tigers, storms and classical music.

so my roommate melissa works part-time at a thrift shop pricing donations and she happened to come across this gem

and bought it for me because she is a good friend

it’s signed, framed and dated 1976

this is framed ot3 fanart from 1976

it is now hanging on the wall in our living room for everyone to see

sometimes i remember that this drawing exists, and was found in a thrift shop, and is hanging in someone’s living room

and i just feel really great about humanity for a few minutes

That must be the best thrift shop find of all times.

A silly sketch of River and Eleven in classic/improvised Timelord costumes. Poor Eleven…he can feel the cool draining right out of him. Undoubtedly the real reason he stole a TARDIS and fled Gallifrey all those years ago. XD

The Doctor doesn’t share my opinion of Timelord attire, as he’s spent most of his life defining his own unique and ever-changing sense of fashion (which at times includes twenty-foot scarves and celery sticks and…well, Six, anyone?), and collecting an enormous wardrobe from all over the universe and throughout its history. Anything and everything, I imagine, to avoid having to wear this again. I had way too much fun with this.

You have no idea the noise I just made when I saw this!

This is magnificent. I love it.

Me too.

Fabulous.
