Is it weird that it really bugs me that the EDAs are meant to take place in a different timeline to the audios and the TV canon? Like, I don’t know why it bugs me but it just does??
I remember reading somewhere a theory that the restoration of Gallifrey kickstarts some sort of timey-wimey reset that repairs all the inconsistencies in the timelines and stuff???? I liked that theory bc really the only gaps it left were 8 parting with Fitz and Trix, and recruiting Samson and Gemma Griffin. I can’t remember it exactly but it seemed really neat and tidy (which I know Doctor Who canon should never be) but yeah that’s how I like to look at it even though it’s a shambles and still bugs me :////
This bothers me too. However, the only thing that really supports this is the mention in Zagreus, where the Doctor sees a universe where he has “plucked out his own heart”. So I would suggest the following actions:
1) Ignore that line of Zagreus.
2) If anyone challenges you, point out that the Doctor doesn’t take out his own heart.
3) Assert the fact that the only Doctor Who canon is that there is no Doctor Who canon.
Doctor Who canon and continuity is such a mess that the only way it can work is if we all agree that we make it up as we go along.
