‘Maybe there’s no one home on Gallifrey,’ said the boy softly. There was just the one of him.
The Doctor looked at him, cupping the small white cube in his hands. The boy said, ‘Maybe they all left. Or maybe the whole planet’s being destroyed, and undestroyed, and destroyed, and you just caught them at the wrong moment.’
‘Enough,’ said the Doctor."

i wonder if the Doctor realizes that if he finds Gallifrey he’ll most likely have to start dodging the presidency again
This book hurts :)
Why
Art for Doctor Who novels always makes me so happy. I need to reread this…

I’m going to have to re-read Demontage now
So, there’s an Eighth Doctor book in which the main plot point is monsters coming out of paintings. In Demontage it’s an artist that’s using some sort of matter transmitter to put things in his paintings, but I wonder if I could read into it being the same ‘cup o soup’ time lord thing.
You know Eight wouldn’t remember if he’d seen the thing before.
I was wondering this about The Tomorrow Windows (which I was never able to finish).
I was wondering this the whole time! Moffat and his could-they-really-be-coincidental EDA references *shakes head*
To be fair, there’s plenty of them in Russell T. Davies’ writing as well. Gallifrey being destroyed, Rose who always reminded me of Sam, and so on and so forth.

OH NO, YOU ARE GOING TO SING
(Also, let us now celebrate in the fact that this song is now canon.)
