this!!! is!!!! what!!!! I’m talking about!!!!!!!!! this is deep space nine babey!!!!!!! it’s easy to be a saint when all your basic needs are met, when you have the room for personal growth. and when you don’t you frequently have to make some hard fucking choices and sometimes those are bad choices but sometimes bad choices are all you have

i can’t seem to draw* garak unless i give him fluttery sort of eyelashes and a nearly permanent vaguely-flirty gaze (not sure if you can really tell here lol ). REALLY THOUGH EVERYTHING ABOUT GARAK IS HARD TO DRAW (especially the hair. cardassian hairlines make no sense to me???!!?!)
the annoying thing about trying to draw races like cardassians is that it’s really easy to overly focus on the race’s prominent physical features (ridges and dat spoon, in the case of cardassians) and end up losing those features that make said individual look like, well, said individual rather than just Go-To Cardassian Design™
tl;dr - when i draw garak and dukat together they sometimes look the same and it makes me sad :(
actually who am i kidding, this is goes for drawing humans too
