This. I love Eight’s hair (wig or not). It’s so very pretty. I’m not dealing very well with the short hair (strange, because I was completely fine with the bit where he cuts off all his hair in YoIT…)

i wish the eda’s were more popular because then people would make photosets of the doctor and his continuous effort to kiss fitz whenever the opportunity arises

Yesyesyes absolutely. Your photoset thingies are so pretty, though, and it makes me really happy that they exist.

Fic: The Reminder

Title The Reminder

Fandom Doctor Who - Eighth Doctor Adventures

Pairing Eight/Fitz

Rating G-PG

Spoilers Set at some point after EarthWorld.

Word count 1888

Summary Fitz just wants the Doctor to remember the things that actually matter.

Author’s notes I actually wrote something which is almost fluff! Also, probably astronomically impossible planet, but you get those in canon, so why not? It’s been far too long since I wrote Eight/Fitz, so here we go.

This is mostly just me trying to figure out the question of why Fitz is canonically attracted to the Doctor, but doesn’t seem to be into any other guys.

So basically Fitz is bisexual, but maybe more on the likes-girls side of the spectrum. He’s never…

Sorry, I might be being obtuse here, but what about that bit in The Blue Angel?

Fitz swallowed hard. He was the one who was raving mad. He was in the midst of the most ridiculous danger, horse-riding down a mountainside, prob- ably about to die and, in the final few minutes of his life, what was passing through his mind? Not the greatest, most fulfilling moments in this life – but a consideration of his chances of getting laid by Iris… and even of getting laid by the Doctor. What was it about Time Lords? What had really happened to his poor old head?

To me, that sounds quite a lot like wanting to shag the Doctor. At least he’s considering the possibility of it happening, which to me looks a lot like wanting it to happen.

I never said i thought he didn’t want to shag the Doctor? He definitely does. I DID say that he never vocalizes it. That is, he never admits it out loud to anyone. The bit in Blue Angel happens in his head.

I see - sorry about that. I interpreted what you said as that he never considers it, rahter that he never vocalises it. Terribly sorry.

Yes, absolutely. I get the feeling that Fitz pre-Doctor was quite lonely. He’s just got his batty old mum, really. During the war he certainly didn’t have an easy time, and perhaps that made him a little suspicious around other people.

What about George Williamson, though? He and Fitz become pretty close, close enough to go off to Siberia together. I think they have a bit of a fling. But perhaps at that point Fitz has stopped freaking out about being bi quite so much. Also, I think he is more comfortable with it after the cloning malarky.

Doctor Who Idea

girlwiththehungryeyes:

There should totally be an episode where the Doctor goes to Bletchley Park during the 40s!

Or, if someone writes a fanfic like that, I’LL LOVE YOU FOREVER!!

Well, there’s always The Turing Test, where the Doctor meets Alan Turing. Maths and tragic love ensues. Only part of it is set in Bletchley Park, but it probably counts as relevant to your interests.
