a few months ago (a year? time is soup), i collab’d with @apolesen and did some illustrations for their WIP, which followed Kelas as they left the prison camp and came home. I had completely forgotten where Iput them until last night, so have some michaela coel-based kelas!
[id: Screenshot of Garak and Bashir from Star Trek Deep Space 9. Garak is turned toward Bashir, saying something, and overtop are the words “Roses are red / sentiment’s a weakness / I can’t say I love you / forgive my obliqueness.” end id]
this episode was the second pilot and so they didnt have all the details down yet, but this line is still so funny to me. “one of my ancestors” you mean your dad, spock? your father?? your father, who married your mother???
An underrated character dynamic that should have existed between Jake and Julian is like…. Jake is a writer, so he would TOTALLY use Julian as a source on medical things in books like
Jake: so let’s say, hypothetically, a Vulcan got shot in the abdomen…
Julian, laughing slightly: okay, so what would happen is…. (Long rambling description)
Cecil. She/her. During the day I sit in libraries staring at books. During the night I write queer fanfiction with a historical slant.
Some not-so-random facts: Gay space lizards are the best lizards. Star Trek is my life. I have too many DS9 ships. Classic Who and the Eighth Doctor Adventures make me grin stupidly. Kelas Parmak is the best. I will defend historically accurate portrayals of Alan Turing to the last drop of blood. Likes and asks end up in the name of @apolesens-otheraccount, because Tumblr doesn't have a way of changing which blog is your primary one. Nothing happens over there - this is the one to follow.
