I am not personally a fan of writing bdsm but… I kinda wanna write some Keiko/Miles bdsm. It’s the principle of the thing y’know?

I’ve long felt this is something that needs to be written.

my new favorite hobby is coming up with speculative anatomy for fictional aliens - i think it would be cool if Cardassians were a little more snake-like since their silhouette was meant to emulate a cobra, and also it would funny if cardassians had tongue-flicking and gaping behaviors like snakes and lizards do. only, they’d probably have a ton of weird etiquette rules and hang-ups about it, lol.

Benjamin Sisko & Julian Bashir Talk About The Political Climate of the Early 2020′s in Past Tense, Part I

Original Dialogue:

SISKO: Don’t be so sure. One of the main complaints against the Sanctuary Districts was overcrowding. It got to the point where they didn’t care how many people were in here. They just wanted to keep them out of sight.
BASHIR: And once they were out of sight, what then? I mean, look at this man. There’s no need for that man to live like that. With the right medication, he could lead a full and normal life.
SISKO: Maybe in our time.
BASHIR: Not just in our time. There are any number of effective treatments for schizophrenia, even in this day and age. They could cure that man now, today, if they gave a damn.
SISKO: It’s not that they don’t give a damn, Doctor. It’s that they’ve given up. The social problems they face seem too enormous to deal with.
BASHIR: That only makes things worse. Causing people to suffer because you hate them is terrible, but causing people to suffer because you have forgotten how to care? That’s really hard to understand.
SISKO: They’ll remember. It’ll take some time and it won’t be easy, but eventually people in this century will remember how to care.

Cool Star Trek dreams I’ve had

  • Beverly Crusher came out as trans to her crewmates. They were kind of confused and asked ‘so isn’t Wesley your biological son then?’ and she said ‘no, he is - Jack carried him’.
  • Bashir making Martok fill in one of those mental health questionnaires just after he came to the station. ‘I know that this isn’t going to be representative because you’ve been in a prison camp for ages, but I’m afraid it’s routine. So, in the past two weeks…’
  • A journalist finding out that Castellan Garak goes to a psychiatrist and Parmak, as Garak’s personal physician, has to make a statement. He’s told to refute everything, but instead he ends up improvising a stirring speech where he tells people that actually going to therapy is a good thing and more people should do it - basically everyone on Cardassia is has some kind of trauma and we need to do something about the stigma surrounding that.

So Star Trek has all these alternate Earths, but with gangsters, or Nazis, or 1960’s Romans, etc., but what about the alternate Vulcan? Alternate Qo'nos? Alternate Bajor? I want my gangster Vulcan planet, darn it.
