I love when aliens in star trek know obscure things about their own biology that doesnt seem like something someone would actually know about themselves like there are so many people who don’t know about the huge vein and artery running through each leg that is almost guaranteed to kill you if it got shot I highly doubt an alien would be able to tell you everything about themselves either
The only valid moments in star trek relating to xenobiology are when spock found out he had a nictating membrane and that time saru genuinely thought he was dying
we all like to shit on Spock for not knowing about his other eyelid but it’s not like any of us know what our appendix is for
my favorite part about spock making fun of humans for having an appendix is that there’s a very good chance he ALSO has an appendix and doesn’t know about it
Spock: lmao humans and their vestigial organs, the appendix is so illogical, illogic is built into humans, what losers, what victims of their own evolution
Pretty much straight out of the egg these babies can start scrambling around on all fours. Within a few weeks to a month they begin to take their first awkward steps, partly relying on their tail as a counter balance.
By 1 year the neck ridges and scales begin to resemble that of an adult Cardassian.
Julian is doing some work from earlier in the day on his padd, and as Elim gets ready for bed, he notices Julian, so he goes into the sitting area, grasps his shoulder and says to him,
“Don’t stay up too late”
Julian looks up and smiles sweetly at him, simply replying
“I’ll try not to”
Elim returns the smile, and Julian goes back to what he was doing. Elim stands there for a moment, looking at him softly, then gives the doctor a kiss on the side of his head.
Julian joins him in bed later that night, and promptly falls asleep after cuddling into Elim, who hums and pulls Julian in close.
Cecil. She/her. During the day I sit in libraries staring at books. During the night I write queer fanfiction with a historical slant.
Some not-so-random facts: Gay space lizards are the best lizards. Star Trek is my life. I have too many DS9 ships. Classic Who and the Eighth Doctor Adventures make me grin stupidly. Kelas Parmak is the best. I will defend historically accurate portrayals of Alan Turing to the last drop of blood.
